Here it is at last - I've been promising a pencil shading tutorial for ages! I've been working on it since last year, before I moved house.

If you use it, please tell me - I want to know if it's useful or not! This is my first tutorial, so any tips would be awesome.

Full view it for justice of all my hard work! XD You probably won't be able to see anything in the small version.

Excellent tutorial! I'm gonna have to give it a try here soon. :3 I miss doing some traditional art, I have a whole bunch of graphite pencils sitting around. Should put them to use! x3

I believe the technical name IS a smudger. At least that's what my mom has always called them and she's done artsy stuff since before I was born. :P :) Very nice tutorial tho!

Wow, this is an amazing insight of how you do your pencil work so well, and very helpful, too. I haven't done a pencil drawing in ages, which sucks...D:
